The last of six performances of "Hello Robbery!" was staged at Shouson Theatre, Hong Kong Arts Centre last night (February 4). The play is sponsored by Stage Villa and Xiao Youth Troupe, with Andy Lau as the producer and Rao Xiaozhi as the artistic director. This time, producer Andy Lau came to support him specially. At the curtain call, he went on stage with director Zhang Daming. Six actors including Yang Weilun (A Egg), Mai Peidong (Mai Dong), Lu Wenjie (Simon), Chao Jialun (A Chao), Cai Songsi (Jocelyn), Li Yizheng (Sunny), and producer Tang Yongwei (Amic) bowed to the audience together to thank them. The plot has laughter and tears, and the dialogue resonates. Under the leadership of A Dan and Mai Dong, all the actors perform very well, which attracts Hua Zi and the audience from time to time. At the curtain call, director Da Ming specially invited Hua Tsai to come on stage. The audience screamed one after another. Hua Tsai even asked Mai Dong to repeat one of the climax scenes and read out the various expenses faced by the grassroots people. Mai Dong: "Management fee Water, electricity, gas, air-conditioning, living expenses, administrative expenses, transportation expenses, telephone administrative expenses, data fees..." Mak Tung calmly read out nearly 50 kinds of living expenses in one breath, more in line with current events, read out garbage levy, as if to relieve the audience, so that the audience clapped their hands and cheered. At the end, Hua Tsai and Ta Ming led the actors to bow together for two minutes to thank the audience for their warm support.
In an interview backstage, Hua Tsai said that the troupe encountered a lot of difficulties during the epidemic. Fortunately, under the leadership of the producer and director, it completed a set of works that made the audience happy: "I hope to bring you some works about more things around us and more situations, so that you can really get some liberation through this drama despite facing so much pressure in life." A Luan and Mai Dong also praised this drama, both in front of and behind the stage, and hoped that the performance would bring reflection to the audience. A Luan said,"This collaboration is very interesting in all aspects. We will write together, analyze the script together, and go to today's show together. I think if we do this drama again in the future, we can continue to let it develop and develop again." Mai Dong: "Just like Mr. Liu said, it is this way that the audience can have content to think about and feel that it is their own business. As a drama creator, I think this is very necessary. Drama is such a thing that allows the audience to think about their own lives."
Simon, Sunny and A Chao also said that everyone would review after the performance every day, and then adjust to achieve the best effect, hoping to arouse more audience resonance. Simon: "My wife's feedback from the first scene, she said she saw something that she wanted to shout out, some of the scenes we could touch the audience, and we always adjusted to do better." Sunny: "The theme of this script is very good, so the audience can taste the bitterness of life, so I think this show, our performance has a kind of responsibility." Chao felt the same way: "When you see the audience, you have a sense of mission." As for Jocelyn, who is a little red in the green, she is honored to cooperate with a group of seniors: "This time I acted with five men. I was the only woman. Everyone was a good gentleman and took care of me every day. Thank you all. I also learned a lot."
As a director, Damming was most happy to see the enthusiastic reaction from the audience: "I am so happy to hear the applause of the audience. Brother Hua is sitting near me. I heard him drum a lot of applause. It was really good to see and enjoy it." As for the producer Amic, he also has the role of a guest takeaway. When asked if there is a chance to repeat it in the future, will Hua Tsai be arranged to play the role? Hua Zi smiled and said that he recommended himself for the role of takeaway boy.
Amic admitted that this premiere is the beginning of this work, looking forward to the performance of the original class again, Huazai also threatened to take this new work to continue to grow: "I hope you can take everyone, bring the work to our Cantonese-speaking area, to face more audiences, I hope you can continue to walk with me."
