At about 14:38 on March 21, China Eastern Airlines flight mu5735 lost contact and crashed over Wuzhou City, Guangxi, during the Kunming Guangzhou mission. There were 123 passengers and 9 crew members on board.
The State Council appointed leading comrades to coordinate and deal with the accident as soon as possible, find out the cause of the accident, draw inferences from one instance, strengthen the investigation of potential safety hazards in the field of civil aviation, pay close attention to the implementation of responsibilities, and ensure the absolute safety of aviation operations and the absolute safety of people's lives.
Li Keqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, issued instructions, requiring all efforts to search for survivors, do everything possible to treat the wounded, properly handle the aftermath, do a good job in appeasing and serving the families of the victims, be realistic, timely and accurately release information, seriously identify the cause of the accident, and take effective measures to strengthen civil aviation safety management.
At present, on-site rescue, aftermath disposal and accident cause investigation are in progress.
