Recently, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of culture and tourism and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of economy and information technology jointly formulated the catalogue of revitalization of traditional crafts in Beijing (2021), which is now officially announced as follows.
Cultural and tourism bureaus of all districts, competent departments of economy and informatization of all districts, and the administrative committee of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone:
In order to implement the implementation opinions on the revitalization of traditional crafts in Beijing, carry forward the excellent traditional culture of China, inherit the historical context of Beijing, and accelerate the revitalization and development of traditional crafts in Beijing, the Municipal Bureau of culture and tourism and the Municipal Bureau of economy and information technology, on the basis of recommendations from districts and relevant units and expert review, and with the consent of the Municipal Bureau of finance, formulated the catalogue of revitalization of traditional crafts in Beijing (2021) (hereinafter referred to as the "Catalogue"). The catalogue focuses on traditional craft projects with distinctive Beijing characteristics, a certain inheritance foundation and development prospects, and a large number of inheritors, which are conducive to playing an exemplary role, can form a national or Beijing cultural brand, drive local economic development, expand employment, and improve the income of employees, and appropriately tilt to projects distributed in the suburbs of Beijing that can promote rural revitalization.
The catalogue is now printed and distributed to you. All districts, relevant departments and units are requested to thoroughly implement the "opinions on the implementation of the project for the inheritance and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture" and the "plan for the revitalization of Chinese traditional crafts", strengthen the organization and leadership, and take effective measures to ensure practical results in accordance with the relevant requirements of the "implementation plan of Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance and development project" and the "implementation opinions of Beijing on the revitalization of traditional crafts".
