## UNESCO International Training Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific Region
The UNESCO International Training Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific region is an international institution in the field of intangible cultural heritage established in Beijing, the people's Republic of China, on February 22, 2012, in accordance with the agreement signed between the Chinese government and UNESCO. It is a UNESCO class II Center.
As a regional and international organization and coordination agency in the field of intangible cultural heritage supported by UNESCO, the center actively builds a regional and international exchange and cooperation platform by carrying out international training in the field of intangible cultural heritage, and participates in the implementation of the implementation capacity-building strategy of UNESCO for States parties to the Convention for the protection of the intangible cultural heritage, Make contributions to the protection of intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific region and even the world.
### The functions of the center include:
1、 Organize long-term and short-term training courses, and carry out classroom and field training on relevant topics in the field of intangible cultural heritage;
2、 Mobilize international and Chinese experts and scientific and technological non-governmental organization personnel with expertise in the field of intangible cultural heritage to serve as lecturers and consultants for training activities;
3、 Carry out international and regional cooperation with relevant intangible cultural heritage institutions, especially category II institutions supported by UNESCO.

## UNESCO International Research Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific Region
The UNESCO International Research Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific region, established in Japan in 2011, is a UNESCO class II center that contributes to the realization of UNESCO's strategic goals. It is also one of the institutions of the National Institute of cultural property of Japan. The center is committed to promoting the Convention for the protection of intangible cultural heritage and its implementation, and strengthening the protection of intangible cultural heritage by initiating and organizing research on the protection practices and methods of intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific region.
### The functions of the center include:
1、 Initiate and organize research on the practice and methods of intangible cultural heritage protection;
2、 Assist countries in the region, especially developing countries, in carrying out other research activities;
3、 Organize and hold regional training activities and seminars, focusing on the research work as intangible cultural heritage protection measures, protection practices and protection methods;
4、 Encourage and assist young researchers in the region to engage in research activities aimed at protecting intangible cultural heritage;
5、 Work together with other regional centers of intangible cultural heritage active in the region and outside the region;
6、 Guide relevant institutions in the field of intangible cultural heritage to cooperate and provide one-to-one technical support to developing countries in the region.

## UNESCO International Information and Network Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific Region
The UNESCO International Information and Network Center for intangible cultural heritage in the Asia Pacific region, established in South Korea in 2011, is a UNESCO class II Center. Within the framework of the Convention for the protection of intangible cultural heritage, the center supports the strategic plan of UNESCO among the 48 member countries in the Asia Pacific region by establishing information systems and network procedures, and finally promotes the 2030 United Nations sustainable development goals through intangible cultural heritage.
### The functions of the center include:
1、 Establish an information system to support the identification and archiving of intangible cultural heritage projects, as well as the preservation and digitization of relevant archives and documents, and support the development of metadata standards;
2、 Disseminate the relevant data of the informative and promotional materials on intangible cultural heritage accumulated in the work, and promote the protection of the intellectual property rights of the creators and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage contained in the above-mentioned informational materials;
3、 Build networks among relevant communities, groups and individuals to strengthen the inheritance and publicity of intangible cultural heritage, and organize public activities and conferences at the regional and international levels;
4、 Strengthen the network construction at the international and regional levels in order to carry out information and knowledge exchange in the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
