Because the TV series "Five-Star Hotel" was not broadcast within the contract time limit, resulting in a certain brand failing to implant the series as scheduled, Haiyan's film and television company was sued by the advertising company that represented the brand. In addition to being required to refund the contract amount of 400,000 yuan, it was also asked for a loss of more than 310,000 yuan. Recently, Shunyi Court has accepted the case.

Beijing Dragon Star Advertising Co., Ltd. sued that on January 6, 2006, it signed a contract with Haiyan's film and television company, stipulating that after the advertising company paid, the film and television company would follow the agreed method in its TV series "Five Star Hotel" to promote a certain brand and product represented by the advertising company in the plot of the TV series, and at the same time agreed that the latest broadcast time of the drama on the first TV station would be November 15, 2006. After the contract was signed, the advertising company paid 400,000 yuan in accordance with the contract, but "Five Star Hotel" still failed to be broadcast as scheduled before February 15, 2007. Long Zhixing Advertising Company believes that according to the contract, the contract will be automatically terminated after a delay of three months, and the film and television company should refund the fee of 400,000 yuan, but to this day, the film and television company has not refunded the contract amount. The advertising company then sued and demanded that the company return the money and compensate the economic losses of more than 310,000 yuan.

Yesterday, the reporter interviewed Hai Yan about this lawsuit. He said on the phone that the reason why "Five Star Hotel" could not be broadcast within the contract was because it was in time for a national-scale conference. At that time, CCTV temporarily arranged a promotional program for that important conference during prime time, which resulted in the broadcast time of "Five Star Hotel" being adjusted several times and was not broadcast until November 2007. Therefore, the company had no subjective fault. Hai Yan said that according to his understanding, the original and defendant are still negotiating on this matter, have reached preliminary intentions, and are drafting a mediation agreement.
