With the theme of "Light and Shadow learn from each other and benefit each other", the 14th Beijing International Film Festival will focus on international, professional, people and communication efforts. In nine days, the Temple of Heaven Awards, opening and closing ceremonies and red carpet ceremonies, Beijing screenings, Beijing Planning theme Forum, Beijing Market, Film Carnival, University Film Festival, closing ceremony and Award ceremony, "Movie +" and other activities will be organized in a variety of forms and varieties, to create a festival carnival attended by many film practitioners, citizens and fans.

At the press conference, the poster of the 14th Beijing International Film Festival was released, which combines the shape of the Temple of Heaven Prayer and the pine and cypress bonsai into one, and integrates the style of traditional Chinese ink painting. The value concept of "the unity of man and nature" runs through the clouds and waters of the lines, and is hidden in the light and shade of the ink.

At the press conference, the judges and shortlisted films of the Temple of Heaven Award at the Beijing International Film Festival were also announced. The international jury consists of seven members, chaired by the famous Serbian director Emile Kusturica. The six judges are: Australian film sound designer David White, actor Fei Xiang, Austrian director Jessica Hausina, Brazilian director Carlos Shardanha, actor Mary and actor Zhu Yilong. In terms of films participating in the competition, the total number of films registered at the Beijing International Film Festival reached 4273, of which the main competition unit, the Temple of Heaven Award, received a total of 1509 feature films from 18 countries and regions, a record number. Among the 15 finalists, 12 were foreign films and 3 were domestic films.
