RealD signs contract with Sea Pearl Pictures-establishing Asia's first full Film City RealD Cinema

Beijing and Los ANGELES-RealD, a global 3D and imaging technology company, and Sea Pearl Pictures Co., Ltd. announced today that they have signed a contract to upgrade Universal Harbor Studios in Shanghai into full Film City RealD Cinema with a RealD technology suite. The upgrade created the first cinema in Asia to be fully equipped with RealD Cinema theaters.

(21 August 2019) Beijing and Los ANGELES-RealD, a global 3D and imaging technology company, and Sea Pearl Pictures Co., Ltd. announced today that they have signed a contract to upgrade Universal Harbor Studios in Shanghai into full Film City RealD Cinema with a RealD technology suite. All eight studios in the studio will be equipped with RealD 3D technology and RealD ultimate screen, with other technical and design requirements, all upgraded to RealD Cinema high-quality boutique hall. The upgrade created the first cinema in Asia to be fully equipped with RealD Cinema theaters.

in addition to the Global Port, Maritime Pearl Pictures has also signed a contract with RealD. One LUXE studio will be built in Chengdu and Kunming, and one RealD Cinema studio in Xinzhuang, Shanghai and Nanjing. The upgraded Universal Harbor Studios will meet with moviegoers again in September.
