In today's special edition, director Feng Xiaogang shared: "As a mother, Gao Yuexiang felt a natural affinity for her when she first met her black sister." This stems from the fact that Gao Yuexiang's daughter, like her black sister, are deaf-mute people who can only communicate in sign language. The two get along day and night, and Gao Yuexiang gradually projected her emotions for her daughter on her black sister. After accidentally learning that the black sister wanted to eat sugar, Gao Yuexiang went to her best to get her "a little sweetness in life." The tenderness of the "mother" and the help of the sisters brought great warmth to the black girl, and it was also a sense of security that she had never experienced when she was forced to steal since childhood. After they were released from prison, the two worked together to survive. In the face of bullies, they swung their swords at evil people and held an umbrella together in the heavy rain. The warmth Gao Yuexiang gave black sister was powerful, giving her the courage to get rid of the den of thieves, and also giving her the confidence to be reborn from the sun.

In order to create a more full character, the actors worked hard on the set. When filming the re-scene of Gao Yuexiang drawing a sword at the villain to protect the black girl, the director had already achieved satisfactory results. Zhao Liying took the initiative to ask for it to be repeated, repeatedly polishing and completing a very tense and dramatic scene in the film. Nancy's eyes were touching when filming the plot of the back of her hand being burned by a cigarette butt.
