The United Nations Office in China was established in 1984. Through full cooperation with other UNESCO departments and the United Nations system, the UNESCO representative office in China is committed to finding and implementing creative solutions for sustainable development at the social, cultural, environmental and economic levels to help countries achieve their priority development goals and commitments to the sustainable development goals and the 2030 education agenda. The above objectives are achieved through projects in five major areas: education, natural sciences, social and humanities, culture, communication and information.
