The first Chinese deep-sea monster blockbuster, Giant Tooth Shark: the Abyss, starring Jason Statham and Wu Jing, was released simultaneously around the world on Aug. 4 and has grossed more than $267 million (1.951 billion yuan) at the global box office. Audiences from all over the world saw the movie "Giant Tooth Shark 2: the Abyss" and received rave reviews. Some viewers said bluntly, "the visual effect is so shocking!" The sense of immersion in deep-sea exploration is too strong. "the visual impact of the big monsters on the big screen is so strong! The giant tooth shark seems to rush out at any moment. Some viewers also said, "the two strongest human beings on the surface work together to fight monsters, which is good to relieve pressure." After watching the film, a young audience said bluntly, "after watching the movie, I am more interested in the undersea world. I want to see it again with my classmates during the summer vacation."

Today, the film released a production special showing the behind-the-scenes production of the Deep Sea Giant World. Wu Jing, the lead actor, said that as a filmmaker, "what I most want to know is the underwater production process of the film." In the special, art director Chris Doyle revealed that the film uses a set that weighs about 10 tons and can rise and fall in a water tank to deal with a large number of filming related to "water". In the film, "hiking under the sea" is a "dry shoot wet" shooting method, the actors wearing 40 jin of exoskeleton diving suits, hanging Weiya to simulate the underwater effect. In the special, special effects director Dominic Tui said that "do real things and get the real reaction of the actors." Wu Jing's helicopter scene and the scene of the giant tooth shark breaking through the glass were all filmed in the real scene. In a blasting scene, Wu Jing was also tied to a camera, and everything around him was detonated at the same time when he was running. Director Ben Whitley lamented, "every time Wu Jing performed well, he felt like he was there."

In the movie, giant-toothed sharks and amphibious hunting dragons slammed into the submarine driven by Jason Statham and Wu Jing, causing the audience to shout, "adrenaline soars. You can never guess where the big monsters will come from. It's so exciting." Some young viewers said, "the shocking and lifelike visual effects have given me more imagination about the deep sea. I want to learn more about the ocean and see more marine life myself in the future." Some parents said bluntly, "the deep sea world in the film will bring more possibilities to their children, and recommend the film to all parents who want to take their children into the cinema during the summer vacation."
